First Round Highlights Include:

Novak Djokovic v Juan Carlos Ferrero, Monday 25 June (Day 1)

The holder and current World Number One faces a man who held the top spot himself, if only briefly, in 2003 after winning the French Open of the same year. Ferrero has undeniably peaked but this could be less straightforward than you might think for the Serbinator.

Roger Federer v Albert Ramos, Monday 25 June (Day 1)

The Swiss legend has won more Grand Slam games than any other player in history and unfancied Catalonian Albert Ramos is unlikely to cause him too many problems.

Nikolay Davydenko v Andy Murray, Tuesday 26 June (Day 2)

With British hopes once again laden on his shoulders, the Scot faces a tricky first round draw against the former US and French Open semi-finalist Davydenko. Murray should have enough to see off the Russian but the question on everyone in Britain’s lips is can he win it?

Thomaz Bellucci v Rafael Nadal, Tuseday 26 June (Day 2)

The Spaniard is arguably the slight favourite for the title after his stunning record-breaking seventh Roland Garros title and should storm through the opening few rounds, starting with Brazilian Bellucci.

Maria Sharapova v Anastasia Rodionova, Monday 25 June (Day 1)

The French Open winner, top seed and World Number One looks back to her imperious best and eight years after her famous victory on centre court, she is unlikely to have too many problems against fellow Russian, turned Australian, Rodionova.

Serena Williams v Barbora Zahlavova Strycova, Tuesday 26 June (Day 2)

Serena may be seeded sixth after a flop at Roland Garros but no one knows these courts better than her. Her Czech opponent is famous for her racket abuse but has done little else of note at SW19 in the past.

Kim Clijsters v Jelena Jankovic, Monday 25 June (Day 1)

Unseeded Belgian Clijsters has never won a Wimbledon title but after a fabulous career would dearly love to do so. She is up against 18th seed Jankovic who is usually solid at the All England Club, having reached the fourth round in four out the last six years.

Akgul Amanmuradova v Petra Kvitova, Tuesday 26 June (Day 2)

The holder Kvitova has done little to suggest she has what it takes to repeat last year’s success but she should ease past little known Ukbeki Amanmuradova.

The fanatix Team would like to wish all users the best of luck.
