FRIDAY 22 JUNE

Miami Heat v Oklahoma Thunder - NBA Playoffs - ESPN (HD): 2am GMT
Game 5 of the NBA Playoffs and the Thunder have a chance at history. No team has ever come back from 3-1 down to win a playoff series. For the Heat, a win here will seal the title.

England v West Indies - One Day Match - Sky Sports (HD) 1: 12.30pm GMT
England have already clinched the series 2-0 but the last time the Windies were only playing for pride, their number 11 scored 95 - so this one is well-worth a watch.

Royal Ascot - Day Four - BBC (HD) One: 1.45pm
GMT
One of the social events of the racing calendar. Hats, frocks, shoes, suits and some horse racing too.

Germany v Greece- Euro 2012 QF - ITV (HD) 1: 7.45pm GMT
The strongly fancied Germans take on minnows Greece in the second Euro 2012 quarter-final. Joachim Loew’s German side were imperious in the group stage but remember Greece won against all odds in 2004.

Hull KR v Catalan Dragons - Stobart Super League - Sky Sports (HD) 1: 8pm GMT
Things are tight at the top of the Super League and the last time these two met, there was just two points in it.

New York Mets v New York Yankees - Major League Baseball - ESPN America: 11pm
GMT
City rivalry at its best as the Big Apple’s two finest baseball sides clash.

SATURDAY 23 JUNE

New Zealand v Ireland - Rugby Union - Sky Sports (HD) 1: 8am GMT
The All Blacks needed a later Dan Carter drop goal to narrowly see off Ireland last Saturday. The men in green will be out for revenge this weekend.

Australia v Wales - Rugby Union - Sky Sports (HD) 1: 10.30am
GMT
This one is as finely poised as they come, with Australia needing a late kick to scrape past the Welsh by just two points last weekend.

South Africa v England - Rugby Union - Sky Sports (HD) 1: 3.30pm GMT
England are playing for pride in the final test against South Africa but this still promises to be a fiery encounter in Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

Miami v Toronto - Major League Baseball - ESPN America: 5pm GMT
The Toronto Blue Jays are in Miami to face the Marlins in this US v Canada match-up.

Spain v France - Euro 2012 QF - ITV (HD) 1: 7.45pm GMT
European Champions Spain face a rejuvenated France side in the third Euro 2012 quarter-final. Pass-masters Spain have not been at the best so far and Laurent Blanc’s Les Bleus may fancy an upset.

Baltimore v Washington - Major League Baseball - ESPN (HD) America: 11pm GMT
A West Coast clash as the Oriels meet the Nationals at the trend-setting Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

SUNDAY 24 JUNE

Race four of an already frenetic season continues in Valencia.

LA Angels v La Dodgers - Major League Baseball: ESPN: 7.30 GMT
If you’re not a football fan then tune into these city rivals going head-to-head.

England v Italy - Euro 2012 QF - BBC (HD) One: 7.45pm GMT
Fabio Capello would have loved this! Roy Hogdson’s group-winners take on Italy in the last quarter-final knowing that a place in the last four would represent a serious achievement. Watch out for Mario Balotelli…

Portland v Seattle - Major League Soccer - ESPN: 10pm GMT
These two teams have a long and bitter history as rivals and this is considered one of the only true derbies in American soccer. Perfect sunday night viewing.
